Kishon, Ephraim

(b. 1924)
   Israeli humourist. He was born in Hungary and moved to Israel in 1949. From 1952 he wrote a column in the newspaper Maariv, which dealt with political and social issues. He published books, plays, film scripts, stories and articles reflecting Israeli life.
